Descripción
In the present work, a library for Android is developed, which aims to improve the accuracy of the GPS (Global Positioning System) location of the mobile device. To prepare this proposal, an open source application was selected, created by Google, which offers the data provided by satellites on the mobile device, among other services. Based on several functionalities of this code to obtain the data from the satellites, and the methods studied in articles for the calculation of the position, a combination of several algorithms is implemented to return the highest possible precision. In addition to returning the location of the device, there will be a user interface that provides other highly relevant data. The result of several functional tests of the application is also presented, as well as its comparison with other applications whose objective are similar to the one proposed in this work.
