Due to the outstanding applications of carbon-based materials in recent days, they have attracted great attention in energy, catalyst and optical fields. Doping CQDs with heteroatoms like nitrogen, sulfur or/and phosphorus results in an alteration of its optical properties modifying its maximum emission wavelength and improving its quantum yield. In the present work we have synthesize N-,P-,S-doped CQDs via microwave assisted method, they exhibit an excellent photocatalytic performance on degrading Brilliant Green dye (BG). Importantly, the degradation percentage of N-CQDs on BG under natural light for 35 minutes is over 96,29%. The others CQDs have a good photocatalytic performance too with a degradation percentage rate of 81-88% at the same parameters of time rate and concentrations. The results indicate that these as-prepared CQDs have the potential application in degrading organic dyes.
