In the last five years, NatZEng® specialists have intensified innovation on NEREA® technology supported by fundamental studies, creating new technological procedures and micronized products for agriculture with high added value patented (CU20210017A7 / CA3138031 A1), generating new zeolitic sulphur products obtained by mechanochemistry for plant treatment (patent application CU 2024-0005). These contributions to a sustainable agriculture have been validated, registered, scale up to industrial production of the NEREA® products by technology transference and licence contracts with Cuban enterprises. NEREA® products advertising campaign allowed their sold in Cuba. Cuban government organizes and leads the national production of NEREA® products since 2023. The work discusses these results awarded in Cuba, Canada and by the science community:
1. Gold Medal Product Quality Award. XVI Trade Fair of Holguín EXPO 2023, Cuba.
2. Distinguish Speakers Awards for plenary conference “NEREA Technology: A new paradigm for Agriculture”. Brazil-India-Cuba-China-United Kingdom (BIC2UK) Conference on Nanomaterials & Machine Learning, 2023.
3. Province of Ontario Honours IZC as Recipient of NEREA Fertilizer Accelerating Solutions and Technological Challenge, 2023.
4. Government of Canada-Funded i.d.e.a. FundTM awarded NEREA green products and technology to reduce climate change, 2023.
5. CITMA 2022 Provincial Award for Technological Innovation, Havana, Cuba “NEREA: Innovative products and technologies for sustainable agriculture”.
6. CITMA 2023 Special Award for Highest Economic Impact, and National Award for Technological Innovation, Cuba: “NEREA: Innovative products and technologies for Cuban agriculture” GOC-2024-569-O97.
7. Rector of University of Havana Awards, 2024. for Technological Innovation of Highest Economic Impact, and Highest Impact in the Food Production.
